This week I was thinking how lovely a trip to the beach would be. Since that’s not going to happen this year, I did the next best thing: I dyed three coordinating sea-themed colorways to share with you. The three colorways are Day at the Beach, Sea Glass, and Dreams of the Sea. Fitting, right? Here are the three colorways together on Sock Perfection:
Sock Perfection has 450 yards, and it’s made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. It’s soft enough for shawls and sweaters and strong enough for socks.

I also dyed the three sea-inspired colorways on Stained Glass Fingering…
Stained Glass Fingering has 400 yards per skein, and it’s a 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. It’s very soft and smooth. Since it’s only two plies, I don’t really recommend it for everyday socks, but I do recommend it for everything else.

The third and final yarn base I dyed them on is Feather Fingering, and I’ll admit I snagged a set of these for myself.
Feather Fingering is a 2-ply yarn made of 85% extra-fine untreated merino and 15% silk. With 490 yards per skein, this one falls into the light fingering category. It does need to be washed by hand, but it’s worth the extra trouble!

Advent Calendars
I want to extend my deepest thanks to everyone who has already ordered an Advent calendar for this year. I can hardly wait to start dyeing them! This year’s theme is Purple Flowers.
All the colors will be shades of purple ranging from lightest lilac to deepest eggplant with everything in between. I’ll be alternating between semi-solid colorways and Splashed & Speckled colorways. Altogether the colorways will create a lovely gradient set.
I have plenty of Splendid Sock and Stained Glass Fingering available. However, I (and the mill) have a limited supply of So Silky Fingering and Squoosh DK, so if you want one of those two, it might be good to get it sooner rather than later.
