Sedona Knit Wits, Giveaway Winner, Last Day for the March Clubs

I have several things I want to talk to you about today. I’ll try not to let this get too long.

And the winner is…

First of all, I wanted to congratulate Sophie, who won the Choose Your Yarn Adventure yarn giveaway. She chose “A Little Princess” on Squoosh DK. Here’s a photo of the yarn I sent her. She should be getting it in the next day or two.

A Couple Changes to the Website

The next bit of news I want to share is that I’ve made a couple changes to the website. I’ve made the photos much larger so you can see more detail. Let me know what you think–if the extra detail is worth the extra time spent scrolling. I’ve also added a Spin My Art Batt listing so anyone who wants me to spin up some of my art batts can easily place the order for me to do so.

March Club Colorway

As I mentioned last week, I’m using Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” as my inspiration for the March yarn and art batt colorways. Thank you so much to everyone who has already signed up for one of the clubs. You can sign up for the monthly clubs anytime, but today–March 1st–is the last day to sign up in time for the March club colorway, which is going to be amazing if I do say so myself! I’m combining several different dye techniques to make this possible.

Sedona Knit Wits

Today I took 148 skeins of yarn over to the fabulous Sedona Knit Wits. As always, Linda, the owner, was a delight. I’ll be the “featured artist” for the month of March, so if you are local and have the chance to visit her beautiful shop, please do. Here’s a photo of it.

Sedona Knit Wits

It’s bright and airy and just such a pleasant place to be with a wonderful selection of lovely yarn. Just out of sight is a nice big table where people come to knit and crochet, and everyone who works there is helpful, pleasant, kind, and attentive.

There’s still a nice selection in my online shop, yet it feels a little empty after taking so much of my yarn there, but I see it as a unique opportunity to see what you like and what you don’t. I’ve had my head stuck in a spreadsheet for a few days (not my favorite place) making some decisions on which colorways to focus on and which ones not to. If there are any colorways you especially want me to keep, please do email me. This is your shop as much as mine, so your opinion matters.

The good news is that I have lots of undyed yarn that just arrived. It’s like a canvas waiting to be painted on, and I can hardly wait to start re-creating some favorite colorways and creating new ones as well. As usual, I have more ideas than I have time to dye!

I’m also determined to try to keep up with art batts, which tend to sell out faster than I can make them.

Knitting Magazine

If you follow me on Facebook, you’ll know that I had another little bit of exciting news this week. An editor from Knitting Magazine in the UK reached out to me to ask for some photos for a supplementary issue on hand-dyed yarn they’re going to be doing. It’s not a sure thing, but keep your fingers crossed that little Purple Lamb will have some yarn in the magazine sometime soon.

After our big (for us) snowfall last week, we had what felt like the first day of spring today. I hope it continues!

Happy fiber artistry!
