Good Things Come in Threes

Happy Friday!

I was photographing some new colorways yesterday, and I took a moment to photograph a set of three colorways on two different bases.

The colorways are Monet, Renaissance Blue, and Monet’s Cathedral, and it just so happens that I have all three in stock on both Sock Perfection and Quick and Cozy Bulky.

Here they are on Sock Perfection:

If you would prefer to lean more toward purple, another great choice for the middle skein would be Eggplant.

There are so many fabulous patterns for 3 skeins of fingering-weight yarn these days, but I’d like to point out a very cool bulky-weight cowl that I think would look great using the three skeins of Quick and Cozy Bulky. It’s called Getting Warmer by Espace Tricot, and you can find it right here on Ravelry.

Advent Yarn Calendars

I am down to just two more Yarn Advent Calendar Kits in Cozy Sock and three in Shimmer Sock, so if you are hoping to get one of my Yarn Advent Calendars this year, you might want to go ahead and do it. The shortage of mini skeins this year has made it so I had to get them ahead of time and set a limit to how many kits I could make. The kit comes with a copy of Ambah O’Brien’s Adventuresome Wrap, and the colorways are designed with the pattern in mind.

Speaking of Advent calendars, I am hoping to have some fiber Advent calendars as well this year. I’m putting together the final details now and hope to have them available soon.

Spin Together

As I’m sure you have heard me mention, a few of us are running a spinning competition called Spin Together for the second year. The competition will take place the week of October 3rd, and now is the time to join a team. It’s a lot of fun and a great opportunity to hone your spinning skills.

More importantly, in this year when soooo many things have had to be cancelled, this is one way to get together virtually with others who love spinning. You do NOT have to be an expert spinner to join. There are people of all skill levels, and everyone is friendly and kind and welcoming. There are both team and individual competitions for yardage as well as individual competitions for creative spinning. There are some fabulous prizes too. We have 28 teams this year, and most teams still have spaces available. Come join us!

Stay well!
