Stay Cozy Sale and Studio Update

Good morning, and happy Friday to you! I hope you are staying warm in spite of the big cold front. I have a few things I want to talk to you about today.

Stay Cozy Sale

Let’s start with the sale.

To help you stay a little warmer and a little cozier, I decided to have a sale this weekend on all of my heavier-weight yarn bases–everything from DK through Bulky. The sale starts today and lasts through Sunday night. Use the coupon code STAYCOZY15 to take 15% off. You can see everything in the sale right here.

The sale even includes my Odyssey set on Squoosh DK right here:

Grid Wall

The other thing I wanted to show you today is a video of something I have done in the studio. I took the grid wall that I use for festivals in ordinary times, and I set it up with all my in-stock yarn right behind where I do packaging. I can already tell that it’s making the packaging a little more efficient, so of course that means more time to dye yarn!

Here’s a little video tour:

Preorder of A Light in Dark Places

In other news, I have had a lot of interest in my newest colorway, A Light in Dark Places. I have dyed up lots of batches over the last couple weeks, but now I’m down to just a few skeins left on Sock Perfection once again.

I decided to go ahead and set up a preorder for this colorway, so if you didn’t get a chance to get a skein or two, now you can. Here is the link to the preorder. I’ll have the preorder available for the next week, and then I’ll be dyeing them up for you within two weeks after that.

Beautiful Universe

In the meantime, though, I just dyed lots of Beautiful Universe on six different yarn bases, and I think it turned out better than ever before! Here it is on Sparkly Merino Sock still drying:

Please forgive the messy-looking skeins. That’s just what yarn looks like when it’s drying.

New Hand-Dyed Top

The last thing I want to show you is the top I dyed up last Saturday. I dyed organic Polwarth top in three colorways and a wonderful luxurious fiber blend made of 50% baby alpaca and 50% tussah silk on four different colorways. The Polwarth is great for spinning and felting, but I would only recommend the Baby Alpaca/Tussah silk for spinning.

I think that’s everything for this week. I hope you find time to curl up in front of a fire with something warm to drink and your latest project to work on. Stay well!
