Leap Year Solitary Skein Sale

Happy Leap Day–or however you say that.

Leap Year means getting an extra day to spend knitting, crocheting, spinning, or weaving, right?

I thought we could celebrate with a Solitary Skein Sale. Right now I have a great selection of colorways with just one single solitary skein in stock, so I’m offering 20% off all the solitary skeins–even the ones on the most luxurious yarn bases.

You can find all the items in the sale right here. The 20% off coupon code will be applied automatically when you check out, and the sale lasts through Sunday.

Here’s a sampling of some of the yarn in the sale:

I’m also including many of my kits in the sale, including this lovely one on So Silky Sock:

Once again, you can find everything in the Solitary Skein Sale here. The photos are just a sampling of what’s available, and in addition to the kits, there are lots of colorways that would look great together.

Knitters’ Retreat

I mentioned last week that I was going to be selling my yarn at a knitters’ retreat. It was a chance for a group of knitters from Arizona and a group of knitters from New Mexico to spend time together relaxing and knitting. It was a delight to be there once again this year! Here’s a photo of the three dyers who took part–Wendy Dalton of Oh YarnKnit, Dag of ZiaWoolz, and yours truly. I’m the one in the middle.

Photo Backgrounds

If you have been following Purple Lamb for a while, you may have noticed that there are some different backgrounds from my usual one in the photos above and on my website. I’m in the process of transitioning from the lattice background I’ve been using for several years to a marble background. I’ll be rephotographing all the yarn and fiber over the next few weeks. It has taken me quite a while to find a new background I like, but I’m really happy with the one I finally found. My goal in switching is to make it so the focus is more on the yarn and fiber and less on the background.

Eight Days of Easter Kits

There are just a couple more weeks to order one of my Eight Days of Easter Kits. These delightful kits come with eight 10 gram minis dyed on your choice of two fingering-weight bases in perfect Easter pastels. Each mini skein comes inside of an Easter egg, and the Easter eggs come in a lovely little Easter basket. The kit also includes my own Diamond Twist Cowl pattern. The idea is to open and knit with one of the minis on each of the eight days of Easter, beginning with Easter Sunday. I’ll have these available through the middle of March, and then I’ll start dyeing them up and getting them sent out in time for Easter.

That’s everything for this week. Until next time, I hope you have a wonderful spring and a fruitful Lent.

Happy fiber artistry!
