It’s a Tie – Help Break It

Good morning, my fellow fiber artist! As you probably know, a couple weeks ago I introduced my new monthly subscription yarn and art batt clubs. I have a yarn club for sock knitters, one for everyone who loves luxury sock-weight yarn, and one for those who prefer a lovely DK-weight yarn. Whether you knit, crochet, or weave, there’s a great club for you. I also have one for art batts so spinners and felters can join in the fun.

I will be using a different famous painting each month as my inspiration for the colorway, and I can’t wait to get started! The deadline to sign up for the first month’s clubs is February 1st, and I expect to be dyeing them starting on the 2nd.

I also asked you to vote on your favorite of three paintings for the first club colorway, which will be in February. The great thing is I have had a lot of participation. The bad thing is that as of this morning, there’s a tie between “School of Athens” by Raphael and “Sunday Afternoon at La Grande Jatte” by Seurat, and honestly the Renoir isn’t far behind.

So now I need you to break the tie. If you have not yet voted on the first month’s club colorway, please do! You can comment on my blog, email me your choice, or put it on my Purple Lamb FB page–whatever is easiest. I’m gathering all the votes into one big Excel spreadsheet.

Option #1 is “Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” by Seurat. Here it is:

Option #2 is “La Moulin de la Galette” by Renoir. Here it is:

Option #3 is “School of Athens” by Raphael. Here it is:

Until today, “School of Athens” seemed sure to win, but now it’s anybody’s guess.

Thank you all for your prayers and well-wishes for our children and the insane week we had last week. So many major things were happening all at the same time! Our 2-year-old came through his dental surgery just fine, our 16-year-old got a small part with lots of singing and dancing in the musical she auditioned for, our 19-year-old arrived in Rome and is heading to Prague (one of my favorite cities ever) this weekend, and our two oldest are back at college and settling into their last semester of classes before they both graduate in May. Whew! On we go! To add to it all, our 13-year-old has a Boy Scout camp coming up in the snow!! Pretty much the only one with nothing particular going on is our 4-year-old, so I’m going to have to carve out some good snuggly story time with him especially.

I am also so grateful to all of you who took the time to review my Facebook page and share it when I asked last week. It was so incredibly heart-warming to read all of your kind words. Words cannot describe! Thank you, thank you!!!

Have a beautiful, fiber-filled week!
