Introducing Stained Glass Sock

Happy Friday! I hope you’re doing well this week.

Stained Glass Sock

I wanted to tell you about a new sock-weight base I just added to the shop. I could not be more excited. So far I have dyed it on just six colorways, but each one is even better than the last.

Stained Glass Sock

This is a 2-ply yarn made of 100% superwash merino. It has a wonderful softness and great “squish factor.” It comes in 100 gram skeins with 437 yards per skein.

The thing that I love about it is that it is made with one ply of black merino, so when I dye the yarn, it gives the effect of leaded stained glass. Growing up, I spent every day after school and in the summertime in my parents’ stained glass studio, so being able to create something inspired by what they made is near and dear to my heart.

I’m having trouble deciding which one is my favorite, but I think it’s Pagliacci, shown in the big photo on the top right. Which one is your favorite?

Stained Glass Sock Colorways

I would recommend Stained Glass Sock for all the shawls, sweaters, hats, and more. For hard-wearing socks, I’d recommend Sock Perfection or So Silky Sock instead.

Other New Goodies

In addition to Stained Glass Sock, I have lots of new goodies in the shop on So Silky Sock, Quick and Cozy Bulky, Wonderful Worsted, and Sparkly Merino Sock. You can see all the new goodies here. Here’s a smattering of them:

Show and Tell Newsletter Next Week

I am going to be doing a Show and Tell newsletter next week. I have already received a few beautiful projects to share with you, but I could use a few more.

If you have a project you have made using Purple Lamb yarn or fiber, please do email it to me a photo of it along with the yarn and pattern info. I would love to share it with all the lovely people here to inspire their next project. It’s fine if it’s a work in progress.

Until next week, happy fiber artistry!
