Hand-Dyed Silk Scarves for Mothers’ Day

Good morning and happy Friday to you. I have a few new yarn colorways this week, but today I wanted to draw your attention to some new silk infinity scarves I dyed this week. These make a great accessory for the warmer months. They are also a great gift for Mothers’ Day.

Each one is unique even more so than hand-dyed yarn because of the dye process. They are also a lot of fun to dye! I already had a few colorways in stock, but I’ll just show you the ones I dyed up this week below.

I’ll start with my new favorite first. This was inspired by Monet’s “Houses of Parliament, London, with the Sun Peaking through the Fog.” I had to simplify the “recipe” a little bit to keep the colors from getting murky.

This next one is another Monet-inspired infinity scarf. This one came from Monet’s Water Lilies, and it is the second time I’ve made it:

Next up is Purple Iris, which is just so perfect for spring!

Next up is Sapphire Dreams, which is just so lovely and brilliant. I can brag about it a little because it was my son and not I who came up with this colorway originally.

The next colorway is called Smitten. It’s mostly purple but with lots of other accent colors.

Last of all is a colorway inspired by the travails of the Ukrainian people that I made to show support. It’s simply called Ukraine.

I don’t want to have a completely yarn-free newsletter, so I will leave you with Beautiful Universe, which I dyed up on six different yarn bases this week. Here it is on Stained Glass Sock:

Have a great weekend and stay well!
