Sparkle and Locks

This week I have something really special for the felters and spinners among you. I dyed up 5 colorways of the loveliest kid mohair locks. I added 5 shades of sparkly Angelina and some Sari Silk too. Consider this an opportunity to play with color and texture in a new way.

These are great to use on a blending board, drum carder, or to add directly to top or roving as you spin. The locks are also delightful to spin on their own.

You can also use these in wet felting and needle felting. The sari silk and sparkle won’t felt on their own, but they can be combined with wool and other protein fibers to felt.

I have a limited number of these Sparkle and Locks sets available now.

Quick and Cozy Bulky

It’s that time of year. The weather is getting colder and the time to make gifts is getting shorter. Cue Quick and Cozy Bulky for the win. This is a 3-ply yarn base made of 100% superwash merino. It has 109 yards per 100 gram skein, which means whatever you make with it will work up really quickly. Whether you are making hats or scarves or cowls or blankets for your loved ones, you’ll be able to finish them in a lot less time with this yarn base!

I have a few colorways dyed up now on Quick and Cozy Bulky. Here’s A Light in Dark Places:

Here’s Black Butterfly:

…and here is Afremov’s Farewell to Anger:

Isn’t that fun? You can find these colorways in the Quick and Cozy Bulky collection.

In addition to these three, I’m happy to dye up most of my colorways on Quick and Cozy Bulky. Just browse through the Dyed to Order section and then choose Quick and Cozy Bulky as the base you want me to dye it on.

Pattern Ideas for Quick and Cozy Bulky

I made a bundle with a variety of fun knit and crochet patterns that will go with this bulky yarn base on Ravelry. You can see the pattern ideas right here. The bundle includes hats, blankets, scarves, shawls, slippers, and even some amigurumi animals.

Fresh from the Dye Pots

In addition to the colorways I just mentioned, I have quite a few fresh-dyed colorways. You can see them all right here in the New section of my shop.

I especially want to draw your attention to one of them. I dyed up more Masaccio’s Tribute Money on several yarn bases, including Twinkle Sock shown here:

I hope you have a great weekend full of the fiber arts and everything else that brings you joy.
