Welcome to Purple Lamb Fiber Arts! I’m so glad you’re here.

Purple Lamb is about joy–the joy of creating using hand-dyed yarn and fiber that lavish every sense. It’s about color and softness and texture running through your fingers as you create a work of art from artisan yarn. I find inspiration from nature, art, and especially from classical literature.

I’m Carla Hanson, an indie-dyer and fiber artist living and working in north Texas where I live with my husband and our big, busy family.

I love what I do so much, and it’s a pleasure for me to be a part of your creative process. I dye in small batches, rotating through my new and old colorways as I go, so there’s always something new in the shop.
