TULIP FESTIVAL - Art Batts to Spin or Felt, Felting Batts, Spinning Batts Made of Merino, Pulled Silk, and Rose Fiber

Only 2 left in stock

These lovely art batts were inspired by the beautiful tulip festival that I attended in Holland, Michigan, a few years ago. These are all the colors of springtime--soft and subtle for the most part but with some bright red peaking through to make you smile and forget about winter.

All the fibers are very soft. Not only is there merino wool, but there's also bamboo, pulled silk, and rose fiber. I made handspun yarn from this first and then decided to make some more art batts so you could have the fun of spinning or felting with them too. The last picture shows the way the handspun yarn looks as a thick-and-thin single-ply yarn, but this could be spun up any way you choose. Also, 75% of the material in these batts is merino wool, so it should felt well too.

Each batt is shipped to you in a lovely organza drawstring bag to prevent it from getting dusty or humid until you are ready to use it. It also has a label to let you know what it's made of for future reference. This makes a great presentation if you are giving art batts as a gift to your favorite spinner or felter as well.

Also, as a token of my appreciation, I am including your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know what you would prefer with your order, and if you would prefer not to have either one, just choose the no scent option instead.

Happy fiber artistry!
