GOULDIAN FINCH - Soft Handspun DK Yarn Made of Merino, Camel Down, Bamboo, and Firestar - 222 yards and 3.8 ounces

Only 1 left in stock

This yarn was inspired by the beautiful little endangered bird called a Gouldian finch, which can be found in Australia. The last photo shows the bird.

I started by making two striped batts and then spun them one after the other on my Lendrum wheel. I spun the yarn fine and gently thick and thin with no slubs or bumps. The colors meld gently into one another.

This would make a beautiful open-work shawl or hat or anything at all.

Each skein of yarn is handspun by me with loving care and contains a label with all the yarn facts shown above. Your yarn is wrapped in matching tissue paper and shipped promptly, making a great presentation if you are giving it as a gift to your favorite fiber artist--even if that happens to be you!

Also, as a token of my appreciation, I am including your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. You will receive one per order. Both of these are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know which you would prefer. If you would prefer not to have either one, just choose the no scent option instead.

Happy fiber artistry!
