FIRE - Textured Art Batts, Batts for Spinning, Batts for Felting, Art Batts with Muga Silk, Kid Mohair Locks, Bamboo, Merino Wool, and Angelina

Only 2 left in stock

Imagine sitting by a cozy fire drinking a cup of coffee or tea and looking out the window as the snow falls down on a winter's day. These batts were inspired by just such a scene.

They have tons of soft texture including silky kid mohair locks, squishy soft 21 micron merino wool, silky bamboo, and silky muga silk as well as a bit of gold angelina to add sparkle. These will be a delight to spin, and they would work beautifully for felting as well.

FYI, there is a bit of VM in the mohair locks. They have been washed twice, but the only way to get out every last bit of VM involves destroying the lock formation. It will flick out easily as you spin it.

Each batt is shipped to you in a lovely organza drawstring bag to prevent it from getting dusty or humid until you are ready to use it. It also has a label to let you know what it's made of for future reference. This makes a great presentation if you are giving art batts as a gift to your favorite spinner or felter as well.

Also, as a token of my appreciation, I am including your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these are natural moth deterrents. If you would prefer not to have either one, just choose the no scent option instead.

Happy fiber artistry!
